I applied way back in September and I STILL haven't received my letter. Apparently it was mailed on Thursday but being as I live in PA it seems like I should have it by now. How many people are in a similiar boat?

We're right there in that boat with you. My son applied in Sept. (but his school didn't send his transcripts until around Thanksgiving - ugh!). We were supposed to have a decision by Jan. 31, but as of Thursday they still hadn't made a decision. We're in PA, too, so I'm hoping the letter reaches us quickly.

It's good to know that someone else is still waiting. I honestly was beginning to think that I was the only one. I keep telling myself the letter will be here tomorrow, but then again, every day I expect it to be in the mailbox and it's not. The woman on the phone said I should receive it "sometime this week" and I'm guessing that applies to you as well. Good luck!

Called today, and still no decision yet :-(

They're not sure what the holdup is, since he was within the deadline for the Jan. 31 decision cutoff. They said hopefully they'll have a decision by next week.

Wow, still no decision?? Mine was apparently made on 1/28 and mailed out, but I still haven't received my letter. I'm beginning to think it's been lost in the mail.. Anyway, I hope they reach a decision soon for you!

momwriter, what college has he applied to? My college assistant dean said the holdup for decisions for my college was because the university hadn't established cutoff criteria until late. I received my packet this monday. admit!

He applied to Communications. I believe that is a pretty popular dept., so maybe they got flooded with more applications than they could handle.

suppose its bad if you are still waiting to hear?

rightous101 - Have you called to see if a decision had been made yet? Our S was in the first group of applicants and was supposed to have a decision by Jan. 31. As of Feb 5. when I called, there was still no decision, so I was sure that was a bad sign. However, they made a decision the next day and he got his acceptance letter a few days later.

If you didn't get your application/materials in by the Nov. deadline for the first round, it may be a while before you hear anything.

Yeah, i submitted everything in november. I called in late january and they said that i had everything in (which is good) and that i should know by early to mid february. Maybe I am just being a little paranoid. If your S was supposed to hear at the end of January and didnt hear until early Feb. then maybe i wont find out until a little later.

thanks
