STL colleges

I’m looking for a college in St. Louis that would work well with me. Currently I’m mostly considering UMSL and WashU but Maryville is definitely on the list as a cheap backup if nothing else (with just their auto scholarship my tuition would only be like 10k). I know UMSL is a decent college in the area but I haven’t done any research on it. I will be a pre-med student majoring in business admin with a concentration in management.

I’d like a college with:
-decent pre-med program
-relatively light workload (I’m not saying I want to sleep through my classes but I don’t want to be constantly stressed and studying)
-decent management/business classes
-relatively cheap
-offers Greek language and ideally some mythology classes
-within an hour of 6 flags (I love my job there and I’m hoping to be promoted w/my management major)

I’m leaning towards SLU because WashU is expensive and notoriously bad for fin aid. It’s admissions are also a little over my head and the class work is apparently really hefty - but on the other hand it’s one of the best non-ivy pre-med schools.

Any advice?

Both St. Louis University and WUStL appear as one of the few “top choices” on this online list: “The Experts’ Choice: Colleges with Great Pre-med Programs.”

Most of the best pre-med schools are non-ivy.

SLU has a medical school, perhaps it is like Creighton where undergrads get preference.

SLU us very good Jesuit school, like Creighton.

I don’t know why you say WUStL is bad for FA. It’s a college that meets full need (yes the school defines full need, but)… If you’re low income you should certainly apply.

Are you high income (250K+) or “low income” (as defined by elite colleges, it means “middle class” as in, 75K and less, plus 75-125K for excellent FA.) WashU offers excellent FA if your parents make 125K or less. Use the Net Price Calculator.
If your stats make you worthy of WashU, SLU should offer you significant scholarships.
