Stocking Stuffers 2022 - since we’re already talking holiday gifts

This is always a fun topic.
Seems a little early, but since we already have the other holiday gift thread, I figured I’d start this one too.
It’s always fun to pick up fairly inexpensive things, especially when they are on sale.

Not on sale, but these wide headbands are fairly inexpensive. I bought them as stocking stuffers. Then I ordered another set for myself, handy to have in jacket pockets in case it gets cold/windy. Thin material, so it takes less room than a face mask… which ha, I still find in my pockets

I picked up a couple of things so far - some fun socks and round ice cube molds.

I love this topic since stocking stuffers are a big part of our holidays! Bonus points for great “gag gift” suggestions.

What I’ve done in the past:

  • novelty socks (tailored to each receiver)
  • Poopourie - Pretty much will always be placed in my brother’s stocking (siblings always act like we are still kids :woman_shrugging:)
  • noise reduction ear plugs - Pretty much will always be placed in my sister-in-laws stocking because my brother SNORES.
  • Sock monkey
  • sample size lotions, lip balm, makeup etc. (Kiehls, Bath & Body Works,…)
  • Breath mints
  • Mini toys like the popper, spinner stress reliever type toys
  • Mad libs, sudoku, crossword books
  • Wikkistix
  • Mini cocktails, hot sauce, etc
  • “As seen on TV” - great source for gag items… my dad started this tradition
  • Popsockets - custom ones are fun
  • Whiskey rocks/stone cubes
  • An orange and a lump of “coal”

@Colorado_mom - I can see my S and SIL wearing those headbands!

I always give socks- dress socks to those like S and SIL who need them and sport socks to everyone.
The guys get nail clippers, I saw this on cc years ago and they love this!
I have a gift card and mug from a local coffee shop S likes to go to when he is here.

I still have hot honey from last year!

That hot honey was a hit last year and is all gone. Might get repeated this year.

Socks always. And bags of pistachios.

I actually went on a stocking stuffer spree last night and found these. I have two girls and now two fairly long term boyfriends (theirs, not mine ;)) that I’m going to add to the festivities. I like trying to find fun and unusual gifts, although the reception is mixed from year to year, lol.

Two more. The Fishing kit is about 6” and includes everything but the fishing pole (a long stick will work!) and bait (turn over a log!).

You would fit right in at our holiday gathering.

Haven’t bought anything yet, but like @DramaMama2021, we always have an orange in our stockings. Usually everyone’s favorite candy, too.

I bought my SO a belt this past weekend. I’m hoping I can wrap it up in a way that it’ll fit in his stocking. I feel like he’s ALWAYS looking for his belt… so hopefully if he owns more than one he’ll be twice as likely to locate it quickly!!!

I gotta say, I love that the hot honey lives on… :honeybee:

I missed the hot honey bandwagon last year. Can anyone repost the link to what everyone loved? I think DIL would love it.

Easy to order through Amazon but I have also noticed more and more grocery stores carrying it as well.

Yes, hot honey back on the list. H’s was gone in less than 2 weeks. Our local grocery had it, but ran out months ago. I must have bought most of it….

They have the hot honey listed as being at my local grocery store! This one goes on my list!

Our stockings are pretty big. I tend to watch what’s on sale at Costco, and break apart boxes with multiples for stockings. Lip balm, for example, body lotion, cookies, etc. The (adult) kids seem to like getting practical things, plus some fun things.
