<p>My daughter is a Freshmen at SBU just received a letter to join NSCS.
I went to NSCS website and it appears as a 100% legit, but there is a $95 membership and that kind of made me think that its a Scam. Wanted to hear a feedback/advice from anyone who had this experience.

<p>My son received this also as a freshman at SBU (he’s now a junior). Go to the Parents Forum and search National Society of Collegiate Scholars. There’s tons of responses regarding the organization, most of it negative. After reading all the posts, the letter went into the shredder.</p>
