did you hear back yet? are you a high school senior too
Guys i just got waitlisted
Yeah I’m a senior and I haven’t heard anything. Did you have a lot of extracircular activities? Your SAT scores and GPA should have landed you a spot in my opinion.
I had a 1890 sat with a 3.8 gpa. I was in sport teams, i worked (paid) and received an merit award for playing the instrument piano outside of school. I ended up getting waitlisted just right now. What were your stats?
Just got waitlisted too.
Whats the chance of still getting in after getting waitlisted?
I have no idea. But I don’t understand why we have to wait till june.
Waitlisted as well. I hope housing will be available though.
Just got waitlisted. Atleast it’s better than a rejection, but would have preferred an acceptance.
Just got waitlisted
Yeah gotta stay positive. Best of luck to you guys
If you don’t mind me asking, what majors did you all apply for?
Thanks, I applied for the biomedical engineering major. My sat is 1820 and 4.0 gpa
waitlisted as well prob going to enroll at fordham
I applied for chemical engineering. SAT score-1900
Did anyone apply for business management?
Accepted w/ annual grant; chose Physics/Astronomy major (which is absolutely going to be my major); 2030 SATs (1400 reading/math); GPA on the lower side (GPA < 3.5); not many extracurriculars; out of state
great waitlisted… didn’t expect that after getting into like osu, psu, uconn, binghamton etc… Damn
I got wait listed as well. (SAT- 1800; CR+M-1190; GPA- 4.0 unweighted, 4.1 weighted) I applied for psychology and if I am rejected, I will probably end up at Binghamton, although SBU will have been my first choice. My mother called them yesterday, and they said I probably got wait-listed because of my intended major due to a small amount of people that are accepted into their psychology program. The woman on the phone (who I heard was very kind) said that the amount of people taken off the wait list fluctuates every year; one year they can take 600 off the list and another they can only take off 50. It honestly depends on how many people reject their acceptance. From what I heard, they received a MASSIVE amount of applicants this year (I heard over 40,000) so only time will tell for us. I am hoping for an acceptance more than anything but if I don’t receive one, I offer a congratulations and the best of luck to everyone, whether they are going to SBU or not
@mandy731 Thanks for the optimism and best of luck to you as well. Hope to hear soon
