Hi! Could someone please chance me on one or all of these schools? Thanks
-92% gpa unweighted
-Top 5% of class of 425
-Haven’t received my SAT scores yet but my PSAT was an 1190 verbal and reading so they seem weak (I get the scores this Thursday so I’m keeping fingers crossed at least just an 1100. Will be able to update with my scores)
-Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy, Dual Enrollment College Biology, Dual Enrollment College Chemistry
-Honors English 9-11, Dual Enrollment College English/Comp
-Global History Honors, US History Honors, Dual Enrollment College US History and Dual Enrollment Gov and Economics
-Algebra I and II, Geometry, Trig, Pre-Calc, Dual Enrollment College Statistics
-Spanish 1-5 and other electives such as
-Band for 4 years
-Dual Enrollment Accounting
(My school does not offer APs in any subject, just dual enrollment with a local community college.)
Work Experience:
After school job in retail for 7 months (temporary position)
EC’s
-Youth Court- side judge (6 years)
-Percussion ensemble (2 years)
-Marching Band (4 years- section leader for 1 year)
-Jazz Band (1 year)
-Played with a renowned Jazz musician at a music consortium
-County Youth Board student representative (5 years)
-Area All State Band member (best high school/junior high school musicians by audition) (6 consecutive years)
-Spanish Club (1 year)
-FBLA (1 year)
-Attended a nearby college program - took biology classes and stayed during the summer for two weeks, gained 3 college credits
-Attended Girls State (only two girls selected from my junior class totaling 425 combined male and females)
-National Honors Society (only honors society at my school)
-Was offered an invitation for Phi Theta Kappa but my college gpa went from a 3.59 to a 3.45 due to a class being one point from a B+ and instead got my second B, (very annoyed) (I don’t think my college gpa will lift for me to accept the invitation since the end of the upcoming fall term is in January and my applications will be already out by then)
-Some 30-50 volunteer hours
-Mock Trial (3 years)
Intended Major: Pre-Nursing/Nursing
(I am the only child in a middle-class family that makes enough not to qualify for financial aid but pays out enough to kind of get by. I don’t have too much money to spend at all and am depending on scholarships instead of financial aid and nothing academically or EC wise makes me too special.)
Any other colleges that you feel would suit me while providing monetary needs? Would prefer to stay in the northeast/tristate area [My parents are already freaking out at the fact that I’m even considering North Carolina (it’s a hard knock life out there for the lonely only.)].
