<p>Anyone with information about undergraduate student experiences with Stony Brook would be appreciated especially in the Engineering area.</p>

1. Class sizes
2. Faculty helpful, supportive, etc.
3. Anything else is fine</p>

<p>I'm quite unsure about faculty but at any big public university, you are highly likely to have rather large class sizes for your chem & phys courses. those might be high lecture courses with a few hundred students.</p>
<p>I don't go to SUNY SB but I heard that SB has large classes and unhelpful professors(lots of TAs)</p>
<p>This is normal in almost all the big public universities.</p>
<p>it even happens in schools like Georgia Tech</p>
<p>Gatech is a state university.
It's quite normal.</p>
<p>A lot of partying. A lot of women.</p>
<p>Id go to UB instead for Suny engineering.</p>
