Can anyone tell me how many dresser drawers the rooms in Luter have (per student), and how wide the closet is? Does each student have a closet, or do roomates share? Is the closet full length? I think someone is being overly optimistic about how much stuff to bring. On a related note, is it easy to get a load of laundry done or is it always crowded?

I don't know much about Luter, but it's generally not much problem to get laundry done in any of the dorms. You might want to avoid the major times (which tend to be Saturday afternoons and Sunday evenings), but other than that, you'll probably be able to find an open washing machine.

The closet space in Luter is actually quite generous - each student gets their own closet and it's a good size.

Dressers - I may be wrong on the exact number, but I know there's a relatively deep one on the bottom and then there's either three or four less deep drawers on top. I had a lot of clothes and the storage was adequate. There is also a built-in medicine cabinet for each student, as well.

The only place where there's NOT storage is at the "desk" which is really a long bench that has one shallow drawer per person which is only big enough to put a drawer organizer in...that kind of stinks. But other than that, with the suite bathrooms and lots of storage, Luter's pretty cool.

Just in case anyone finds this thread down the road, the dressers have 5 drawers (one deep, the others medium deep) with a nice-sized three shelf medicine cabinet above. The closets are about 5' -- for each. occupant, at least in the doubles. There is also storage under the sink. I was amazed; it made a small room more manageabe. Don't buy "door-mounted" storage though--they are sliding accordian-style vinyl. And the desks are pretty sad--one tiny drawer a piece, with a work surface higher than normal but with an apron that makes them too low to put a filing cabin under (though a single drawer or small rolling cart might worrk.)
