<p>there is a bed, bath and beyond within a short drive. they will have everything you need. there is also a target within a short drive.</p>

3) Drive to any one of the stores that sell these stuff. Bed, Bath, & Beyond is a good candidate, you will also meet girls in your class here?
4) Buy these stuff</p>
<p>Are you an incoming freshman? If you have a driver’s license, you can register to use a Zipcar and go buy what you need. Or, you can have a lot of this stuff shipped that you purchase online to Vanderbilt after August 7. They will store what you ship until move in day.
The Bed Bath and Beyond is near the Cool Springs mall and a taxi would be pretty pricey for that run. The closest Targets are right off I-65 in Brentwood or on White Bridge Road off of West End Boulevard. Those would be a bit easier using a taxi but still not cheap. The Vanderbilt bookstore sells a lot of dorm essentials which you can probably order for pickup when you get here, but selection is not that great and you pay a higher price.</p>

Wow, I never thought about actually driving in the States. I suppose that’s because the only other time I’ve been to the mainland was in Chicago and they have a good public transport system. I will look into the zipcars. What are zipcars though?</p>
