Straight A Student Slipping Senior Year

I have always made good grades in high school. I've taken challenging courses, and the lowest grade I've had up until now was a 90. I have a 3.8 unweighted GPA.

This semester, however, I have a 76 in Calculus, an 87 in French V, and a 91 in European History. My GPA is going to tank, and I'm seriously worried.

I applied early to UNC, UNCW, and Clemson, and I have already been accepted to Clemson. I should find out before the end of the semester whether or not I have been accepted to UNC.

My question is: are they really going to look at my current grades? As long as I'm not failing will I be okay?

You’re not alone! just found out i currently have a 75 in Calc and 76 in Physics! My guidance counselor says I can drop down levels but I have to notify my schools I applied to! help! does anyone have an answer? never had a C!

Acceptances usually comes with conditions regarding senior grades. It would be rare for one or two C’s to sink you, but you might have to notify the school regarding changing the curriculum you submitted, grades below a C, or falling below a certain GPA.

thanks for your advise

I’m sucking it harder than a vaccum. I’m doing so horribly in all my classes. I got straight A’s last year and now I’m down to 5 A’s and 2 I don’t even knows. Tommorow is a BIG day for me. 2 90 or higher tests and I get 2 A’s, 2 89 or lowers and I’ll always be thinking what if.

UNC does not release decisions until late January. Last year, they postphoned the date decisions were released, supposedly specifically to take into account midyear grades. (Take this with a grain of salt, however, since my information comes from my bf, who applied last year. I didn’t see the emails about the postphoned date myself.)
