My thirteen-year-old daughter's friend has similar aspirations. Shea pparently has identified a school in Canada. Sorry I don't have specifics, but she might have found it througha link at the Cirque du' Soliel (sp?) web site.

2.A family friend made his living doing comedy for a few years after getting a degree in geology. So tell your friend to study geology somewhere????? No, we just get where going in round-about ways.

Seems to me that studying theater would be good training for anyone that will perform. Writing might also be good. Actually a good liberal arts education would give him something to pull material from.

mom58 i found this website http://www.jeffraz.com/conservatory/ it's the clown conservatory in San francisco.

Second City in Chicago has a well-respected improv comedy training school, and there are others around the country. It's nothing like college, but it will teach you skills that are critical for almost any kind of live performer.
