Hey guys I am entering college now and I think I will do very well in college given I have done a lot of college work already in high school and now during the summer. I have set higher standards for myself and I get A’s now. Unfortunately this point didn’t come till towards the end of high school and I got nothing for scholarships with an average score of 21 on the act (I was still in status quo mode when I took it).
The good thing is that I have completed a Java course and an Intro to database this summer allowing me the chance to get an internship but this isn’t set in anyway. If this internship works I won’t have much debt but otherwise I will have some just looking at the numbers. Also I am going for computer science so it can pay for allot when I get out.
I am looking for ideas or strategies of how to reduce the debt (assuming I get a GPA 4.0-3.5). I was wondering if making an app could pay part ways, scholarships during college, and some other source of income during college.
Thanks in advanced if somebody gives me some good advice or any.
I’m learning Java myself and think creating an app would be neat. However, I don’t think it would be wise if you heavily depend on Financial Aid because it will affect your income.
Are you doing work-study? If so, then start looking for and applying to jobs on campus or close to. If you’re not doing work-study, there are plenty of on-campus jobs for all students.
