strength of schedule?

should taking a total of 8 AP's, the rest of my classes being honors be fine? I'm currently a junior and still deciding whether to take honors or AP Literature. My AP's are listed below.

In terms of strength of schedule, should I be fine taking 8 AP's, the rest being honors classes?

The 8 are the following:
10th grade:
AP U.S. Government

11th Grade:
AP U.S. History
AP Chemistry
AP English Language

12th Grade:
AP Calculus BC
AP Statistics
AP Biology
AP Physics C
(maybe AP Literature also)

Your schedule looks fine to me. Whether it’s strong enough partly depends on what is the norm for the top students at your particular high school, since admissions counselors will look at you in context.

Depends entirely on the context of your school.

^True. I got in and will have only taken 5 total APs by the time I graduate. A schedule with 8 Aps and with the rest of the classes being honors should certainly not hurt your application, as long as you do well.

yeah, i’ve gotten almost all A’s. I have about a 3.92ish unweighted.

I’d take AP Lit senior year. You’re probably looking at an extra 20 minutes of work per day max (right?). You’ll probably also learn a whole lot more. And that would be a decently impressive senior year schedule. Taking AP English junior year and not senior year would, at least to me, give a negative vibe.

Yes, AP English Literature is predominantly taken by seniors at most high schools.

For me personally, the assigned coursework consumes a disproportionate amount of my homework time.

^but that seems true with most english classes, even non AP ones. At least at my HS it was.
