Stress Relief:

So at my school we're taking the good ol' PSAT this Wednesday, possibly one of the most important things to do well on in high school if you're looking for good scholarships or admission to the elites. Yeah I'm on the verge of freaking out. And I know that my brain works better while I'm taking the test if I'm more relaxed.

Any advice?

Bear in mind that your PSAT score does not even appear on your college application. It's nice to do well enough to qualify for National Merit but it's certainly not the end of the world if you don't. Do the best you can and leave it at that. Looking over your PSAT scores when they come can help you determine your strengths and weaknesses so you can better prepare for the SAT. Good luck.

Yeah, I was kinda nervous too, I even made a bet with a kid who said I wouldn't make it and I said I would. Made 15$ lol, he still hasn't paid up however....National Merit feels good when you first get it, but afterwards, it's just like whatever.....It does provide scholarship money at mostly public universities, as well as just prestige at your school/among peers.

Other than that, it's just a little title. Nothing more, nothing less.
