Stress Relievers!

I'm sure many of you are already familiar with Yale's Open Courses project, but I just stumbled upon it today and thought it may help reduce some of that SCEA anxiety abound on the forum (Seriously, stop bumping "Omg...freak out time"; all the hyperventilating is throwing my circulation system for a spin.).

Visit Open Yale Courses, choose a course, and start studying at Yale (kind of)! Hopefully it'll help take your mind off of what's supposed to be released on Friday, plus give you a better idea of academics at Yale. I just finished watching the intro of “Intro to the Old Testament (Hebrew Bible)”, and, as far as I can say from the first class, it’s pretty exciting.

I really can't focus on anything, but that video seriously calmed me down (at least enough so that I managed to get onto CC and post in full sentences). One warning—you may fall further in love with Yale; just try not to =P?

What are you doing to calm down?

Well today was a snow day in most of central Missouri so I taught myself to falsetto (pretty badly) and now i think i did it wrong cuz my throat is so constricted i can barely breathe :-(. But now i can finally sing like justin timberlake! Yes!!!

Wow, nice find on the Open Courses. At least I can be productive in my learning while waiting haha. I'm going through the Intro to Psych lectures even as I type :D

Besides that, I browse sites akin to LiveScience | Science, Technology, Health & Environmental News.

Oh, and I keep up with my webcomix: xkcd, order of the stick, and 8bit theater are on my daily menu. I highly suggest them.

Berkeley has a similar program, with the inclusion of courses from past semesters.

dude, alextheman, you sound like the man, man.

or, you know, whatever.

also, this physics guy is not impressing me. he's been going on for half the lecture and he's still talking about basics, and he tends to tangle himself up in complications that aren't necessary. I hope this is not the norm.

idk, sometimes I get second thoughts... I really don't think I'm going to get the quality of education i get at my current highschool ANYWHERE else. This is the life, really. It can't get better. So why am I going to a college that is just gonna lecture at me?

wow, this guy is complicating things unnecessarily. this is honestly the worst lecture ever.

oh my GOD, the english guy is TERRIBLE.

Am I just being a hypercritical brat? Maybe it's a preemptive defense tactic because my brain is telling me I'll never hear these lectures firsthand because I'M NOT GETTING IN.

still, though... what a bad english class.

omg!!
the classes rock
check out the jokes of the physics guy!
i just want to be there.come friday night!iam waiting
what an ironic thread title"stress releivers".it has increased mine

yeah i was excited about the open courses (i'm a dork)

the psych guy is pretty funny, he likes to sneak jokes in every once in a while
the philosophy guy looks like someone i could definitely just hang out with haha... i like his chucks too...

I'm reading Huck Finn... good read, takes my mind off of things. Seriously, everybody- grab a book! It works!

Bake Christmas cookies :D

EAT Christmas cookies!!

I like the Psychology lectures. The Political Science lectures interest me in subject but the lecturer kind of stinks, as he can't really grasp my interest (despite me already being interested.)
