Stress.

Okay, so I am currently a Junior. I am certain you all know how stressful things can get.

I am one of those students who works very hard, yet I see the person next to me not study and sometimes even get a better grade than me. Today one kid even copied on my homework that I spend about 7 hours doing over break -_- It's frustrating at times.

Can any of you CCers relate to me?

Copying homework where I go is seen as academic dishonesty and = an instant suspension. Yes haha, I do have people not study as much and get a better grade (I made a thread about it lol). NEVER LET ANYONE COPY HOMEWORK! Don’t let somebody take credit for your work that you spent hours on, even if it means being their “go to guy” or getting a quick compliment. I used to let people copy because I was nice in general, almost got in trouble one day for it and never did it again. My friend and I have a pact never to copy each others’ homework and do it ourselves or not get credit at all.

I can. I hate when the person I truly hate with all my soul gets a better grade than me because of something stupid. I actually work (Kinda) but it still ****es me off. He’s arrogant, inappropriate, vacuous, disgusting and I utterly abhor him. I have a better GPA than him by .20. There’s another person who is so concieted. That’s his conspicuous trait, and he thinks he’s so fricken smart and does this “neck” thing when someone gets an answer wrong. Oh but of course, he doesn’t know the answer either. Funny.
Otherwise I admire people who do better than me, regardless if they study or not just as so as long they aren’t arrogant or conceited.
I got in trouble for letting people copy my homework but I got it back and they gave me some wise advice.

Lol do u know what is aggravating? Having a kid sit next to u all day in calc picking his nose and biting his nails and barely taking any notes or paying attention and then comes in on exam day and gets a perfect score every time. The course is not that challenging but this kid looks like some turd who puts no effort into it and aces everything. Btw I am in college.

Other students don’t stress me out, but my lit teacher does. Like I get a 97 on a project. Good, right? Well it turns out that other people fail/get C’s, but the lit teacher will allow EVERYONE in the class to redo the left side (the hard part) of the project for a better grade.

And, OF COURSE, OF COURSE, OF COURSE, OF COURSE, my left side was perfect, but my right side had a metric asston of mistakes. So now some people could get better than me, and I can’t do jack about it.

I’m pretty sure she has something against Asians. Not because of this situation (in fact, this situation is just because she’s an unfair teacher in general), but I think she tries to hold the Asians in the class back.

Junior year is making me want to get in bed, curl up into fetal position, and NEVER MOVE AGAIN.
Physics is a *****.

@yakisoba I hate it when teachers give retakes!!!

Lulz, I gotta get popcorn to read this thread…

Honestly, why don’t you guys either help others or ignore them? If they’re actions are bad, such as cheating, then don’t fraternize with them and move on…odds are it won’t really matter a couple of years down the line

Don’t let crap like that bother you… jealousy is the bane of successful networking.

Don’t be reactive, be proactive. If you can’t change something, don’t worry about it. If you can, then do it.

I’m a senior and hear this. I thought this was going to be the year I could relax just a little. Stupid me. Now it’s like the time you thought you could ease up just a little and have some fun after junior year, everyone’s in your ear about how easy it is to mess up for anything because the “seniors are supposed to be the examples” in school, everything is on the line with college acceptances, and everyone from school to parents are being hard as (spherical body parts) on me and my friends. I feel like I can’t even breathe the wrong way without a teacher jumping to the conclusion that I’m just another senior slacking off, or my parents reminding me not to do anything that would mess up college - even though they admit they did the same things 30 years ago. Really frustrating.

Your parents made mistakes 30 years ago and don’t want you to repeat them. That seems completely legitimate to me.
