Stress.

Hi, I am a senior in high school and am feeling serious anxiety about my options for schools next year.

Sarah Lawrence is my first choice and I applied as an Early Decision. I handed in my application at the Open House a couple of weeks ago. I haven't felt well in days because I am stressing so badly about it. :/ Anyway....

I am also planning on applying to..
-Eugene Lang {New School University}
-LIU-C.W. Post Campus
-Mercy College in the Bronx

My grades aren't horrible, I am definitely an English/History kind of a student rather than a Science/Math student though.

My unweighted GPA is an 82 but like I said, it's my science and math scores that consistantly drag me downward. I am much more of a writer then a test-taker and that doesn't help too much either. Despite weeks of studying I got an 870 on my SAT because of my lack of test-taking skills.

I have been on my yearbook commitee for two years and this year I am the Editor.
My little sister was born prematurely last February so I volunteered at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for the 3 months she was in the hospital and have been ever since.
I played field hockey from 7th to 12th grade. (thank goodness I am done with that!)
I tutor kids at the local elementary school and have been since 7th grade.
I did swim team from 7th to 12th grade.
I have been working with the local boy scout troop for 3 years on and off.
I volunteered at a small local zoo from 7th grade until last summer.
I worked for pay at the admissions booth at the zoo from 9th grade until last summer.
I have been dancing with a non-profit dance company that puts on performances once a year since 7th grade and am still doing it.

I am adopted, have 5 biological brothers and sisters, 4 adoptive sisters, and 4 foster brothers and sisters.

There is more, I am just getting tired of typing about myself.
So, be COMPLETELY honest with me, what are my chances of getting into Sarah Lawrence....or even the other schools I listed?? If you don't think I have a chance of getting into these schools, could you give me some suggestions that are in the NYC area, or even Massuchussetts?? The only guideline I have is that they have either journalism or political science as available majors.

THANKS! Feel free to tell me if any of this doesn't make sense... :)
