Stressed about my schedule...

Ok, so in New York, there is a High School degree called "Advanced Regents Diploma with Distinction".

That is the best degree you can get, when compared with the inferior degrees which are just a "Regents Diploma" and "Advanced Regents Diploma".

To get this degree however, I need credits from various more regents tests.

What I am worried about is... Since I do not want to take the spanish regents (afraid I will not reach the 90 benchmark for the Advanced Regents Diploma with Distinction) because I doubt if I will get a 90+ on the regents (since I am not a spanish person).

Instead, our school has a CISCO (tech) course line, and the state mandates that if you do not take a foreign language regents, you can take 10 credits of tech in replacement.

So...

What I ask from you guys is that since my Guidance Counselor took off Spanish II from my schedule, I am worried it will effect my college admissions. My Guidance Counselor said that she put in Spanish in my schedule ( I was the only one in my class to basically get spanish) because she thought that colleges would favor if I take spanish all four years. Now that I cancelled Spanish for Tech, I am worried if I will be less favorable by colleges...

My schedule was full/packed so she couldn't possibly within her own power let me take both because they conflicted and I can't take more then 9 periods...

Not a big deal. Wouldn’t have swapped out Spanish for Tech based on the reasons you gave, but that’s done and the affect of that schedule change in the big scheme of things is pretty miniscule. Do well in tech.
