STRIDE people; where else were you accepted to, and did/are you going to smith?

D accepted to Agnes Scott (received Marvin B Perry Scholarship), Bryn Mawr, MoHo (got 20k merit scholarship), Wisconsin, and Minnesota (Twin Cities). She is visiting Smith for open campus and Discovery weekend. It’s down to Agnes Scott or Smith. The STRIDE scholarship and the opportunity to do research her first two years really is intriguing for her.

My daughter is deciding between Smith and Stanford.

@Smithie88 why those two? Is it the STRIDE opportunity, or Smith as a school, or both? I honestly want to meet someone who chose between Smith and Wellesley because that’s what I’m down to… anyway, please let me know!

@wholikestostudy, I went to Smith so she was encouraged to love Smith from an early age! Also, the Stride/Zollman is very tempting as she isn’t otherwise eligible for financial aid. I had to make the same decision you are facing many, many years ago. You will get a fantastic education at either one. The biggest difference is location and general “feel” of the campus. Neither better than the other, but different. Have you visited both? If you have and are attracted to both, then I would go with Smith and the Stride! Good luck!
