Which schools in california have strong engineering programs? I'm interested in EE, Software E, and Chem E.

Does anyone have any advice?

Caltech, Stanford

UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC Davis.

San Jose State, Cal Poly SLO and Cal Poly Pomona.

Harvey Mudd!

Mudd offers a general engineering degree rather than specific engineering degrees (EE, ChemE,etc), but you can definitely take upper division classes in the field you are most interested in. For example, one of my senior friends was working for Intel this year (through the Clinic program, look it up, its pretty cool), which meant that he was basically an EE, but just like everyone else who graduates from Mudd with an engineering degree, his degree was simply in “Engineering”. Employers and Grad Schools will understand - just because you may never have heard of Mudd doesn’t mean that they aren’t fully aware of the rigor of the school.

Thanks everyone! I’m going to look into each of those schools. :)
