I graduated with a B.S in health services administration with honors, 3.6 GPA, Undergraduate thesis. Then, the semester after I graduated I started a graduate program in healthcare informatics.... I failed 2 courses, received A's & B's in the rest... I was placed on academic probation but voluntary Leah left the program in order to focus on my career which ended up not being in healthcare but in human resources management. The Healthcare Informatics program honestly want a good fit for me and i honestly say that the fact that I did not take a break had an affect on my performance as well because I begin working full time while in school and did not understand how to balance it all... Although that is not an excuse it is an explanation. it is now 3 years since I left the program and I am wanting to gain admission into a MBA program, I am concerned that my graduate course work will be used to make the determining factor as opposed to my undergraduate GPA. I was wondering how I can increase my chances of getting into the program. I want to go to Nova Southeastern University... there admission requires at least a 2.5 undergraduate grade point average. as I previously mentioned my undergraduate GPA was a 3.6, I believe that my graduate course work grade point average is a 2.66... can anyone give me some insight as to what how much my graduate course work will impact my chances of getting into the program? GMAT is only required if you have a 2.2 for to a 2.49 undergraduate gpa. I'm so worried .. I was wondering if my management experience could help offset that, or maybe submitting letters of recommendation although they are not required... Any advice would be great :)
