What are the strongest departments at Boston University?

The Music department in the College of Fine Arts is well-regarded. They have lots of Boston Symphony players teaching there, the Tanglewood connection and the whole Koussevitzky heritage going for them.

Their School of Management is highly regarded... they've recently renovated the building, and it looks superb

[EDIT: Strongest in research or teaching?]

The photonics center is the star of the show right now. The psychology department has garnered quite a bit of attention and respect in the past few years. I've also heard good things about the school of rehabilitation. Communications is a hot department as well.

The school is big. A better question might be, "which departments should be avoided?".

Is BU's Computer Science/Computer Engineering department good?

I wonder that myself. I stopped by the other day, and they seemed pretty competent. I can't say much more than that, for sure. I intend to intern there during vacation. If I'm allowed to go through with my plan (they don't really who I am yet), I can issue a full report in a couple months.

I'm might intern at BU during vacation too! You mean summer vacation right? I already did last year, so I might be going back and actually get paid this time. Hehe.

Yup, I mean summer vacation. I may also try to do something over April break. Where did you intern?

I interned in the Biology department as part of the BU Summer Research Internship Program. I was in a lab for six weeks.
