I got accepted to UCLA, UCSB, UCD, and UCSC as a Biology major. I was hoping to get some insight or advice on which school to transfer to. I know a lot of people would automatically accept UCLA because it is arguably the most well known and prestigious UC. There is still a lot of other factors though such as location, atmoshphere, and so on. I am still waiting to hear back from USC as well.
UCD and UCLA are pretty good for biological science majors. If you want to live in an urban city, then go for UCLA. If you prefer a college town suburb then UCD is the one for you.
Having been to all of these campuses, I can probably be somewhat helpful - what sort of atmosphere would you like?
I have never been to the UCLA campus how is it and how is the living situation down there.
@eesb123 out of your four options, the living situation would be the most expensive. UCLA is located in the rich part of LA.
Santa Barbara would provide a beautiful living situation because the beach is literally right there. I know nothing of UCD and UCSC.
Basically the main decision is UCSB or UCLA. As a biology major which school would provide the.greatest program and opportunities for internships. I know they are both great schools for science majors but as much as I don’t believe in prestige I know UCLA has a lot to its name.
