Struggling with depression while waiting for admission decisions - what to do?

Thank you, banhbaochien - those irrelevant responses were starting to get on my last nerve.

I must add, however, that I’m a girl, not a guy. Haha!

I fear that reality while I was typing that up, ha! I really do apologize.

I guess we’re in such a male dominant world, so at times words like “guy/man” are not gender related. :)

I don’t know what is wrong with maker’s mark.

He brings up a strong case. That stuff’s delicious. Regardless of self medicated depression; everybody should probably drink more makers mark, just as a rule of thumb.

To those of you posting irrelevant advice and information, can you please stop? It’s disappointing for me to see a new reply to this thread, think that something constructive has been posted, only for it to be just nonsense about smoking pot and drinking Maker’s Mark. There’s a time and a place for cracking immature jokes, and it’s certainly not in this thread.

Thank you to those who have truly tried to help. I appreciate it so much.

well ok… I just thought of maker’s mark because it helped charlie sheen.

I read the first two paragraphs. From there I started scrolling down and went “OMG”, lol.

Anyways, I would suggest a little Zen in your life to be honest. As in “I applied, there’s really nothing to do but to wait, there really is nothing more I need to do that could impact decisions besides keeping your grades up, whatever happens…happens.”

Its nothing to get depressed/stressed over. Being all full of anxiety isn’t going to increase your chances of getting accepted or rejected into schools.

Just chill. :)

Yeah do not go the marijuana route. I would recommend seeing your primary care physician and telling him about your OCD and depression. Taking SSRI’s will likely do away with all of these negative feelings you have been feeling and for much cheaper than going to your therapist.

Edit: I just realized that you are already on medication. I don’t know what to say then. Perhaps try a different medication or a higher dosage of your current medication?

It’s not funny when you’re in a situation like hers. Think about what you say, please.

I advise you guys to stop posting ridiculous comments and keep them to yourselves.

In other words, stop ■■■■■■■■ (coolaid317, nero103, and snarik011235).

OP, please feel free to report anyone on this forum, as you already asked for the ■■■■■■ to be stopped.

You guys are pure disappointments, as I’m sure you are all 18+.

Hooray! I was accepted at my top choice, CSUF, this morning! I can finally sleep without having one eye open for once.

for christ’s sake, have some fun.

^^ That’s great news. Congratulations!! :D

Congratulations, nerdasaurus! Best of luck at Fullerton! :)

Thank you, guys! I appreciate it. Good luck to both of you! And, BostonCrmPie, I’ll see you at HTCC in two weeks. :)

Congrats nerd

Merci beaucoup! :)
