<p>Just buy it! First of all, it'll definitely help you with your SAT essay portion. Second, you'll get better grades. Third, you'll need it for college.
I have the second edition one (it was my mom's in hs)</p>
<p>It's definately a good source for the SAT Writing section. Many think of it as the ultimate grammar reference book. I used it for the old SAT II Writing and the PSAT Writing section.</p>
<p>Strunk and White=Amazing success on the new essay. I studied it during my sophmore year and assumed it was useless. Little did I know we would be writing an essay on the SAT!</p>
<p>Part of the score on the writing sample is grammar related. My teacher read over my essay (printed it from collegeboard). He said it had only 1 grammatical error; I scored a 12</p>
