GW has a rep for being a place for stuck up kids, and at $45k a year I tend to think it's true, is it? Is it just a little thing that gets blown out of proportion or really the norm? Do you think the people are pretentious, like looking down on people that don't have money?

I'm just curious. I'm not getting so much as a penny in scholarships or financial aid, but I don't what that to mean anything.

I go to GW and people are pretty cool here. I'm on a full-ride, and come from a low-income family. 40% of students here are on aid, so not everyone has the ability to be stuck-up. Most of the people are nice and don't flaunt their wealth, but like any private university, there's a handful of prep-school fraternity jerks.

wow. so i'm pretty much screwed for that. but do you like it there? I'm a URM (black female) & when i visited ; i saw a few faces of color, but not many. Do you feel comfortable? How do you like DC? Any advice for freshman?

GW seems diverse to me. Trust me, people are pretty liberal here, and there's plenty of Jewish people, so practically everyone is a minority in some way. Here's something from collegeboard.com n GWU:
