Does anyone here go to Amherst or have a child there? If so, please PM me--I am interested in some feedback in the academic difficulty of the school, particularly balancing with sorts. Thanks.

It probably is about the same as Midd or Williams-depends on the major, with science being esp hard to balance due to the lab/practice issue, and if s/he can get into the school, they can do the work. Practice takes from 3-4 pm til 7 or 8 pm, a sport season is only 3 months, and there is a mandatory day off a week in the NESCACs.
They all put academics first, so the time spent for practice and season is limited compared to some other d-3s.
My S does better in season because then he doesn’t procrastinate. That being said, he was glad he didn’t go out for a spring sport.
