<p>want to create an account for D at a bank with an on-campus ATM so she doesn't have ATM fees every time she uses it. </p>

<p>We’re thinking of Bank of America. They have a good “college banking” package and offer an actual credit card (go to Bank of America website and search “college banking”). There are at least 2 ATM’s on campus - 1 right near Thurston.</p>
<p>However, we’re waiting for CI to see what’s available. Still plenty of time before move-in.</p>

i figured that she coud look around campus and see what kind are available during CI in a few weeks, but i always like to check the folks on this site and see what they know!

<p>(not sure where you are in the graduation process, but my D graduated yesterday and is sooo excited for GW in the Fall… graduation gift from me included bedding and other dorm fun stuff… good times ahead! )</p>
<p>My daughter uses BoA at GW and finds it convenient. Like CJ says, they have a very nice student package, with online banking, a debit card, and are easy to deal with.</p>
<p>I signed up my daughter with a CampusEdge account at Bank of America. We have 3 locations near us that will allow me to put money in when she needs it. There are at least 2 ATM’s on campus (one near the visitor center in a building I can’t remember the name of). There is also a branch within walking distance on 17th St. They also offer a Visa Debit card and they put her picture on it. That should eliminate anyone using it should she lose it or have it stolen.</p>

<p>bank of america has an atm inside thurston hall (the main freshman dorm) so it is most convenient, plus BOA atm’s are all over DC</p>
<p>I use Bank of America too, never had a problem.</p>
<p>Since we have PNC accounts at home, my D has continued to use her PNC account with no problem. There are PNC ATM’s nearby for her to use.</p>

<p>there are tons of atms on campus…including one in thurston…theres also some in cvs, 711, safeway, and tons of atms throughout the city</p>
