I'm looking to start a SGAC chapter at my school in the fall. Has anyone done this before? Any tips?

Also, are there any organizations like SGAC (that is, humanitarian orgs with the bulk of its members as students)? This is one cause that I want to do something for, and the more I know about others, the better.

Here's the site if anyone's interested: http://www.fightglobalaids.org/

Schools for Schools building schools in East Africa (Uganda or Rwanda, I think). There's also one (or more) for Darfur.

Not an organization similar to schools for schools, but something different but still a student humanitarian group for Darfur was what I meant.

Kay, thanks. Anyone else? It doesn't have to be just AIDS orgs or Darfur relief either (although if you know more, tell me), as long students make up a large contingent of its members.

look into invisible children...thats what proletariat was talking about

ONE might be cool too...check it out

Thanks... I found STAND, a group for relief in Darfur. Anyone know about this group?

I've vaguely heard of it.

Our school has a quite active STAND club. But I don't think they do anything for relief in Darfur though (well, at least in our school).
