<p>In case I'm not eligible for housing at UT, does anyone know any great/affordable student dorms or residences within walking distance of UT? I'm looking for something around $550 per month max (with no meal plan) or 950 per month (with meal plan)</p>
<p>I think the Castillian and Dobie are off campus dorms in the West Campus area.</p>
<p>I think the co-ops are also a good idea if you can’t find any dorms.</p>
<p>Castillian has a great lease for 950 per month (I might be a bit biased, as I just signed my lease with them yesterday!)</p>
<p>The best thing I noticed about Castillian was the meal plan is unlimited food, and the cafe is amazing. Also, they’re doing renovations this summer so if you’re going to be living there this fall then everything will be redone.</p>
<p>I encourage you to check them out. I’ve only heard bad things about Dobie.</p>
<p>I’m going to live in Halstead Co-op, the cost $640 per month including meal plan for 6 days a week (from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch you have to cook for yourself).</p>
