Off-campus housing: Dobie vs. Castilian vs. something else

Hi, y’all. Incoming freshman here and I’m trying to sort through some housing options for next year. I initially was set on staying in a dorm, but it seems like I’d be saving quite a bit of money for a similar setup in an apartment. I’m looking at Dobie and The Castilian, but any other suggestions that y’all may have are welcome too. The max I’d be willing to pay is probably ~$1,300/month.

I like the proximity of Dobie to campus and the 2 people for 1 bath deal, but it generally seems to have more negative reviews than The Castilian. With The Castilian, though, it seems that it’s 4 people for 1 bathroom, so I’m not sure if that’d be a good idea or not.

Dobie is $925/month but apparently, there’s a $300 meal plan (however, the lady emailed me saying that it’s “included in the monthly installment,” so it seems like they don’t know their own information lol).

The Castilian $1,290/month but it includes the meal plan.

If any of y’all have been/are residents of either one and care to share your thoughts, complaints, suggestions, etc. over them, that would be amazing. Thanks!
