Does anyone know if they give you a student ID number if you have a higher chance of getting in? Does that show anything to if you get in or not?
I received the same thing today. I noticed I received a student ID and I am wondering the same thing you are. I am thinking they give everyone an ID number so it is easier to organize the applications, maybe? I am a transfer applicant. Are you a Freshman or Transfer applicant?
If anyone has further information about the ID number, we would appreciate any insight. 
I couldn’t find any information from the previous semesters, but I did find a few things that suggest everyone gets an ID number. I would assume it’s given to everyone for easier organization and to prevent having to give SS# when contacting the school about your application, etc. :-/ I wish it meant a pending acceptance.

My son received a “Student ID” number after the WolfPaw system was down this weekend for maintenance. The previous link to the deferred letter notice has been removed. My son is in-state, applying to College of Engineering with Civil intent.
@jdandpe Did he not receive a student ID before he received a deferred letter?
If he did, we did not notice it. I looked back at the letter and all of his emails from WolfPaw to see if any referenced the student id and none did.
@jdandpe The same thing happened to my S. ID appeared in his contact number and link to “deferred” letter is now gone. He also applied Engineering/ Electrical. Hope this is good news for both!
I know this was last year, but I was wondering if you felt like the student id number did mean anything. My daughter is waiting for EA 2021 and she has one on her account. Thanks so much.
@stownsend1 I really don’t think it indicates anything. My son has had one since the day he set up his portal and, of course, he is still waiting.

@stownsend1 I got one when as soon as my set up my wolfpaw too. I ended up getting in for fall 2017.
