Hey guys,

Just wondering if any of you guys who were accepted as transfer students into MIT could share your stats, experiences, and where you transferred from!

Thanks!

Wow that rare huh

You could, y’know, search through previous years’ transfer decision threads?

Seriously though, it’s maybe a few dozen a year, many of whom don’t frequent CC at all.

I did but they don’t really post their stats like on the transfer threads of other unis :)

So my general experience is that the other transfer students I’ve encountered come from all different kinds of academic backgrounds and there’s really no magic formula. I transferred after a 4-year sabbatical, another student came from a local community college, but others have come from more traditional backgrounds.
