I got my packet from the admissions office. I’d recommend you do the same

Hey All,

I got an email that gives the name and number of my academic advisor at GW, even though I havent formally signed the letter of intent w/ my deposit $.

Did anyone else get a similar email?

Here is a copy of the email:

December 3, 2009

Congratulations on your acceptance to the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences (CCAS) at The George Washington University. We in the Columbian College Undergraduate Studies Office look forward to providing you with the academic guidance you need to be successful. You may have already received some of the following information, but please review it as it is important to your success here at GW.

My name is Aliya Bhimani, and I am the undergraduate advisor responsible for the coordination of transfer student programming. As a first step, I suggest you contact our office and schedule an appointment with Ariel Lively, your designated undergraduate advisor. We understand that you may not yet be in the area and are more than happy to facilitate a conversation via telephone. Please set-up an appointment by calling (202) 994-6210.

During this appointment, you and your advisor will review the steps you need to take in order to graduate. Prior to your appointment I would encourage you to review the General Curriculum Requirements (GCRs) at [Columbian College: General Curriculum Requirements](Columbian College of Arts & Sciences | The George Washington University) and the transfer next steps at [Welcome to GW - gwired.gwu.edu/transfer](http://www.gwired.gwu.edu/transfer).

We also encourage you to attend Colonial Inauguration (CI), our student orientation program. If you have not already received information concerning CI, it is available online at http://gwired.gwu.edu/go2ci</a>. At this point, if you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our office.

Once again, congratulations on your decision to attend GW. We look forward to working with you when you arrive.

Sincerely,

Aliya Bhimani

Still nothing yet. I called the admissions office and asked if I can stop by and get my admissions packet, but the rep. said it should be here by today, but I received nothing.
I just realized that the school you applied and I applied are different. I applied to GWSB (School of Business). I will be near Foggy Bottom on monday anyway, so I am thinking about visiting the office on monday. I am so desperate.

I had to politely insist on picking up my packet

hello everyone!

recently i received my acceptance package/financial aid information.
i was just wondering, regarding financial aid: do any spring transfer students receive grants? if we did not receive a grant this semester, does that mean we will not receive one for subsequent semesters?
