Students currently in HS and who avidly post stats of 3.8+ plz view

yeah, well i go to a very hard /competitive high school, my gpa isnt BAD, but its nowhere on par with the people with 4.0s, but i worked hard to achieve whatever GPA i have. I got into a decent college, i'm happy, and i do have ECs that are really impressive. Many of the kids in my school have the lower GPA too, although they are bright, and now i'm beginning to feel that it is truly the school. We are getting into the good universities - but this is due to the fact that my hs is weighted probably. Thanks for the posts guys. I was just having a convo with my friends - we gauranteed if we went to the schools surround us (that arent on same scale of competition and course rigor) we would be able to get that 4.0. I guess we learn a great deal, found that we love to learn, and are very prepared for college, but it HIT our GPA hard because of the challenge.
but for the juniors out there that are looking at colleges and have the lower GPA due to vigorous hs system: dont worry, i truly think colleges understand.

nuff said, looking forward to college next year, i'm done :)

I never took notes or studied or SAT-prepped... 3.8, 1520, going to Cornell Engineering...

yeah, but do you know the material that you sped through? you will go to cornell engineering and flunk if you dont know your basic material. maybe your just intelligent.

I know the material... I did well on my AP exams if that's how you want to measure it...

I don't burn out cuz I look forward to surfing on the weekend.

Oh yeah, about the burning out part - I just go out on school nights if I feel like it, and sometimes I'll end up sleeping on friday nights if I'm tired. My group of friends is really random like that.
