Are there any current students that can comment on the type of support that they receive for their learning difference at Rose Hill Campus? Have you found that the student services are strong or is it hard to get lets say written notes for classes or perhaps other needed accommodations? Accepted student interested in hearing first hand information.
You can ask for accommodations with the office of disability services. Usually they will have you take a test at a different time than with your class. You might need to get documentation from your doctor to verify the need. I remember having to get paperwork for my daughter who was diagnosed with ADD/ADHD while at Fordham (her professor picked up on clues and made sure she saw her doctor and get tested) and she had to give everything to them. Once the paperwork is submitted, I believe you can do it online to get accommodations. It has to be done at the beginning of the semester.

Since you already have a diagnosis, make sure you contact disability services and see what exactly you would need to submit and start making copies.
Hope this helps!
That is very helpful. Thank you for the link. It is interesting that the professor caught some of the symptoms in class. Very attentive!
I would still like to hear if there are any students that have had the academic coaching, alternative book formats and transcription. Are professors supportive? We will most definitely reach out to the department. Thanks.
