studio art at Skidmore?

Anyone know about this program, have any experience with it? What's it like, is it any good?

MomofDaughter,
I can add a little bit of insight. Several years ago my D spent her freshman year at Skidmore as an intended art major. She did transfer after one year because she changed majors & she also decided a mid-size university in a city was better suited for her. With that said, Skidmore has always been known and well regarded for its studio art major. When my daughter applied, their art major was considered in the top 10 for liberal arts colleges. Is your daughter starting at Skidmore this fall? have you seen the art department? The art dept has its own building & is comprised of 4 or 5 floors, if I remember correctly. My D was very impressed with her art courses; the quality of the program has nothing to do with her reason for transferring. If your D is serious about art, I believe Skidmore is a great choice.
