Study Abroad Advice

I was looking on the study abroad site, and they don't have a program listed that I want to do. I'm really interested in studying in Germany, but the only programs there are language/history/social sciences, and what I'm looking for is either research/biology/math. I was surprised by this since Germany, specifically Berlin, is a pretty major center for these things. Would it be hard for me to find a program in this if it isn't listed on the Study Abroad site? Do I have to do a program that they have in order to get credit?

Thanks

IIRC you can find a different program through a third party provider, but you have to clear it through the study abroad office first. In general though you should talk to one of the study abroad advisers once you get to Rice, they are very helpful.

I’ll actually be studying abroad in Leipzig this summer! It’s through an intensive German language program and I’ll be getting credit for an advanced German language course. I can definitely talk to my professor and inquire further if you are interested in any other programs in Germany.
