Study Abroad as a Chemical Engineering Student

I just finished my freshman year in college as a Chemical Engineering Student and would like to look into studying abroad as this early stage so I can have enough time to save up.

I would like to study abroad in either semester or both of the academic year, just because I would like to be able to work or intern during the summer to save up. I’m just wondering if it’s possible to study the same courses laid out in the curriculum while abroad. In other words, I would prefer not to graduate a year later due to my one year studying abroad. If I miss one class, that would put me a semester or even one year behind. For example, there are two courses of Physical Chemistry, with one offered each semester. If I don’t take it one semester, I would have to wait until the following year to finish it.

If anyone has any advice or experience on this, please share with me. I would appreciate your input very very very much.

Thank you!!!
