Has anyone done any of the study abroad programs? My daughter received the Cooper scholarship and we were wondering if that will cover some of the cost/most of the cost? Appreciate any info....thinking maybe France or Italy if she goes.

I would confirm with the study abroad office, but I believe the Cooper can be used to offset costs for both USC exchange and private programs. I did a private program (much more expensive unfortunately) and my USC scholarships were applied to the cost. She can also apply for the Passport Travel Grant and various departmental scholarships to lower the overall cost of the program. Incidentally, the USC summer program in Tours, France (Loire Valley) was a wonderful experience.

I’m studying abroad in the fall in France and all of my USC financial aid (Thornwell, LIFE, grants, scholarships, etc.) is following me except work-study.

I actually got even more funding for study abroad through the French Dept. and the Study Abroad Office. ($6500 total in scholarships) The French Department is extremely generous, so I’d recommend applying for one of their scholarships.
