I got my letter today. USC is giving me in-state tuition, plus 4K/year--total package of $63K. Nice to get the offer, but the only way I'd choose USC is if I got McNAir.

My daughter would be thrilled to get ANY scholarship from USC. She won't because her CR/Math SAT was 1230. It's too bad that her class rank, course difficulty, and GPA don't really factor into their choices for scholarships. But that is the way it goes. The Cooper Scholarship sounds terrific...why would you not go there unless you got McNair???

See McKissick Scholarship thread...She was awarded a McKissick Scholarship. We are so surprised, and thrilled.

I got the cooper too

ratedpilot...Cooper Scholarship are offered to in state students, therefore you are already receiving in state fees.

ratedpilot....sorry I hit the send before I completed my post.

I have read your other posts and you are very knowledgeable....I was just wondering if I am on the right track.....

Birdie, you are mistaken. Cooper is for out of staters. We do not live in S.C. and S was offered the Cooper last year.

Cooper Scholars Award (for non South Carolina residents only)
I read the site so many times and read it incorrectly every time. Getting old is so sad....haha but thanks for correcting me...
