Is there a study abroad program in NEU, like.. you can go for 6 weeks in the summer or a semester to study subjects of your interest(whether it be Korean language, biology, medicine, etc)? I want to study abroad at Korea!

Also, how do you pay for it? Is it included in your tuition, or do you have to pay for it on your own?

Thank you! ^_^

Study abroad website:
[Study Abroad at Northeastern University](http://www.northeastern.edu/studyabroad/)

One traditional program in Korea:
[Traditional + Korea | Study Abroad at Northeastern University](http://www.northeastern.edu/studyabroad/country/korea/?t=Traditional)

What is available to study is completely dependant on the university you go to. Someone the courses are all focused on one area (political science, language, etc) and sometimes you are free to take any course you want in the university.

You pay Northeastern, and they pay the school abroad. Typically it ends up being a little bit more expensive than studying on campus. School scholarships can go towards study abroad, though.

Judging by your username, you’re entering pharmacy. Study abroad is much more difficult to achieve in the 0+6 program because of the scheduling and as far as I remember we have been warned about credit transfer issues (I’m a first-year). Co-op abroad is more open but you may be sacrificing paid internship and expenses aren’t necessarily covered (you can look up grants for that though).

If you take courses at a college abroad (or any college) you will need to triple-check to see if the credits will transfer; the PharmD program usually prefers that 2nd year on classes like orgo, physics, etc. be taken on-site.

Thank you guys for the replies! Hmm… I guess I’ll have to travel there during the summers then… I don’t want to give up paid internship and risk my grades… Thank you!
