Study Abroad (With Children)

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew of a program that allows you to bring your (young) children with you while studying abroad. I have asked the advisor for study abroad programs at my college, but he has yet to get back to me. I have looked all over the internet trying to find something, but have come up with nothing.

My son is three-years old, and quite portable. I know there are a lot of details involved with having a child while in school, but I've already thought those through. Trust me. My son is very involved in my education now, so why not allow him the opportunity to enjoy them in another setting?

Anything would help. Thanks!

I know plenty of grad students who did this on programs. Where would you live (apt, host family, dorm?) Who would care for him while you are in class, on excursions or whatever? Do you speak the language of the country involved, in order to arrange his care, incl if he gets sick?

I have not yet studied abroad, but I am in the preparation process to do just that. I have two young daughters (9 & 11). I will be taking my girls with me. My sister is available to go along with me and do childcare for me, but I was informed that dependents are able to be in some homestays as well… It all depends on the program.
