Hi all,
I’m a sophomore at Bama with an OOS presidential scholarship. I’m pretty sure I can use my scholarship towards any type of abroad program as long as it is exchange or affiliate. I’m also pretty sure that if i chose an exchange program (less locations to choose from), my scholarship would cover 100% tuition just like at Bama. However, if I choose an affiliate program, will it only put the cost of my tuition at Bama towards the program & therefore only cover SOME of the costs? I’d love to hear from anyone who has or knows someone who studied abroad with an affiliate program. Thank you so much! Roll tide.
Yes you can use it.
Just to be sure how it STILL works, send an email to scholarships@UA.edu
In the past, you were awarded a semster tuition’s worth of scholarship money that you could use towards study abroad…so if the program costs less than that, you’d have extra money to go towards airfare, etc.
So if your scholarship is for $26k per year, you’d get $13k to go towards study abroad…but contact school to be sure
