I never study I take all Ap's and Honors, and I have a great resume. I have a 3.7 UW and a 31 ACT with out studying (i'm going to study over summer though). Anyway's I never study..... like at all. Is there anyone else on here like me. Or does everyone study all the time?

Yes. A lot of people.

This is a ridiculously dumb question.

edit: Okay that was harsh. But it certainly seems like you’re trying to boost your ego by stating what you accomplish without studying.

3.7… Solid

Slow your roll there, Sparky. Plenty of people don’t study. I know people who don’t study with perfect 4.0’s.

Was there a point to your thread? You’re just bragging…

But… English you can’t study for.
I have a 3.82 UW. It’s all English.

Sure, I’m not like you in terms of studying, but I just don’t study much if at all. I’m taking advantage of High School being easy while I can and will get to enjoy the studying in college. Yah. Studying Math/Science is so much worth the effort compared to now.

“I have a 3.7 UW and a 31 ACT with out studying”

Of all the places on the Internet people would be impressed by this, College Confidential isn’t really one of them. That GPA and those scores are average here if not worse. :D

I don’t study much except for AP Chem…English is hard to study for and my other classes at the moment are regular so they’re easy. But I’m pretty good at learning stuff the first time in chem because the teacher is entertaining.

“Was there a point to your thread? You’re just bragging…”

That could apply to almost every thread on here.

Lol, I haven’t studied for anything this year, except for a few math tests and for the AP Euro exam. I have a 3.6 unweighted GPA, which is solid IRL, but awful on CC.

I never study. Ever.

35 on the ACT.

Get on my level.

For all of you “I don’t study” kids, don’t get too cocky. College can be a whole new thing and you may find yourself unprepared for the work needed to match your high school success.

A science lab, a hundred or more pages of readng in each other classs–frequently of material that’s new and difficult–math problem sets, papers to write: it adds up. Of course you may end up at a not very demanding college and be able to continue as you do now. But assuming you’re choosing a selective school, its wiser to learn how to work hard and study hard NOW than being caught unprepared and not know how.

Yeah, but I’ve never seen a thread on here bragging about a 3.7…

You’ll start to find out in college that almost everyone says they don’t study. They’re all lying. I also did this in high school. I don’t know why I did. It doesn’t impress anyone. This site is littered with people who like to hear themselves talk and lie about their credentials.

Definately agree with BigApple. I was one of those kids who was able to sail thru HS with (mostly) A’s with very little studying. Got to college, a pretty moderate “big 10” school…not super selective…and quickly realized I really didn’t know how to study. Watched new friends taking active notes while they read, making flashcards, listening to recorded classes while they ran on the treadmill and had absolutely no idea why.

I was being sardonic, but very good points. ^^^
I very much agree. Studying is an abstract concept that I believe many people tend to interpret through a self-serving bias. In reality, I just have a different way of preparing for things than many others. Do I do my best to make sure that I’m ready for a test/examination? Absolutely. Do I cram the day before any test? No. Absolutely not. Progress is achieved throughout the course of the year and how well you allow yourself to learn the material when it is presented, with review in between to prevent extinction.

^^Good point too. People tend to use the words “study” and “cram” interchangeably.

I doubt that unless they’re taking easy courses.

^
Eh, you’re overestimating the difficulty of the courses at most high schools.

I never understand why people think that not studying is something to be proud of. Studying for your marks means you worked for them, which I respect far more than getting high marks through “innate” intelligence, which you’ve done nothing to deserve.

Not studying isn’t cool, even though I don’t do it either. It’s what proves that you care.

Maybe if you studied, you’d have a 4.0 lol.

Studying is a good habit to get into now. You won’t be able to do well in college without studying. Professors don’t hold your hands like they do in high school.
