Do you guys/girls study? I havent meet anyone who studies before, and I was just wondering if you guys are naturally smart.

wth??
of course we study lots of people study.
and no we arne't naturally smart..
i mean you can be born a TINy bit more intelligent and able to do stuff faster but it depends on the parents you have.

i study.
but im not exactly smart

You've never met anyone who studies?
hm.

I don't study all that much. In the past I've studied almost exclusively for AP chem, AP bio, and US history.
This year I think I'm going to have to study for AP psych (some), AP calc ab, and AP gov.

By study do you mean other than what's assigned (math problems, reading) in order to better grasp the material? Or simply reviewing before a test?

Plus, there's a difference between being naturally smart and being born with knowledge of every single subjet in school so that you never have to study, and I doubt the latter exists.

Haha, I mean studying everyday even if theres no test, and studying before a test.

I'm going to start studying everyday this year. So I can get a 4.0 gpa.

4.0 GPA.
Hmmmmm

I study my subject notes for about 20 minutes each class after I do the homework, that way I can study less for tests.

If you study a little each night, it becomes less like studying and more like reviewing. I like to get so familiar with the material, that by the time the test comes around, I'm sick of looking at it. For those that claim that they are naturally smart and never study-usually they are lying, and if they aren't-wait until they get to college, and they'll see how naturally smart they are not.

I'm not very big on studying, because in my school if you just listen to the teacher's lessons and use some logic you're pretty much guaranteed a good grade. As for AP tests, I took six over my high school career, only two of which I actually studied for [though one - chemistry - I had to self-study], so I guess I'm not really big on studying, but w/e I'm sure I'll be studying like crazy in college.

Some classes yes; some classes no.

Math - never
History/english classes, maybe
Science - yes
foreign language - umm you can ask the teacher for the answers or use a dictionary

Thanks for all your input guys.

i don't study. i have no motivation to. it's too boring. my current GPA: 4.00. Just wing it. And during exams and stuff, i'm pretty good at making something incredible up.

I study for some tests. For some tests I don't need to review the material (because I kept up with it in class) or I just don't care enough.

Generally, by the time you get to high school you're not going to just know the material. You might be able to get away with not studying by paying attention in class and doing your assigned work, but the people who claim to not pay attention in class AND not study are lying. Unfortunately, many people still see studying and (gasp) actually doing their work as dorky, and like to make it seem like they don't do it.

You better be to justify you screen name!

dude, I don't even go to, you know, school, and I still have a 4.0 uw, no sweat

^ home schooling????????????

no, sarcasm.

No, not really. The only studying I've done is... Spanish flashcards that I'll do on the way to school, and I'll sometimes (the first few weeks of the class before I get insanely bored) read my history notes once the night before a test.

I guess I've done a little random studying here and there for other things, but not so much really.

So... I might study for a total of 20 minutes a week-ish? Oh, and I also do the make crap up/wing it thing (to some extent), but I always do my homework.

Everyone studies. They're just too lame to admit it.

Math-no
Sciences-yes
History and Social Studies-yes
Foreign Language-no
English-no
