Studying abroad

Hi guys!

I´m a dual citizen- Norwegian and American. I´m headed off to college next year, and have been accepted into lsu petroleum engineering and also at the university of stavanger in Norway, for petroleum engineering as well.

the UIS(university of stavanger) offer sounds really great.. Because of my good scores, I´m automatically accepted into the masters degree program. Everything will be free, undergrad + masters degree, and they will give me a loan for 2k a month for living expenses, of which 40% becomes a stipend when I graduate.

I´m almost certain I will take this offer, but are there any negative side effects to studying abroad when it comes to searching for a job? I want to return home when I´m finished...

Thanks!

I’d be sure to talk to any company recruiting reps or friends/parents who know the field @ big petrol companies (Slumberger, BP, Haliburton) to see what they think… Good start asking here, but if you can a hold of a recruiter, do it.
