Studying for AP Calc AB?

I have yet to start. I really should, but I'm not motivated at all. I didn't pay attention in the class at all or do any of the homework, but somehow I know what I'm doing. We took a practice exam about a month ago, and I got a really high 5 (100/108). Ever since then, I have not seen the point in trying to understand calc at all. Should I even try?

im just reviewing some key topics, it doesnt hurt just to refresh ur mind.

If you got a 5, don't sweat it. Practice exams are pretty accurate.

Yeah, I think I'll study for an hour or two, just to be safe.

im just gonna flip through my old tests
i think im pretty much covered
eep less than 14 hours here in cali!

Less than 11 here in Ohio =P

you guys all seem so confident ^^;;

I self-studied this year, and am panicking so badly now XD

You'll be fine. =) Good luck.

10 hours here in PA

thanks run ^^

Question, guys. On the FRQ, do you always include units in your answer, or only when they ask for it? And if they do, do you show units in your work, or just the answers?

11 hours till over here =P

definitely in answers (for related rates, and even when you are finding a volume or area do units squared or cubed)

I don't do it in the work because it gets annoying.

studying formulas last minute right now

i don't plan on studying much. just review slope fields and maybe related rates.

and the power reducing formula, and double and half angle formulas.

but long story short, being a senior, this has no bearing on admissions, and since my school doesn't accept the AB for credit (only a 5 on the BC) i have absolutely no need to study.

christ, what's your school

hey so this is probably a really trivial question but for integrals, do you have to add the little "dt" tag at the end because i never do on class openers and my teacher never deducts points. Plus he grades by the AP standard so does this really matter?

you must put the dt (if the variable in the question is t) or they will take off a point... i think... unless my teacher is trying to scare me

putting down units can't hurt you. unless you're wrong on them, in which case they probably still won't hurt you. I'd put units if there are units in the problem.

for the integrals, I would highly recommend putting the dt tag, because they give points for writing the integrand properly, which you'd lose a point on if you didn't have the dt at least once. so be safe and write it every time haha. as for units during work, I hate doing that outside of physics, since I know what the final unit is going to be (unlike physics C) so i'd skip it.

yes, it does matter. you should write it.

you MUST write DT or your integrand is WRONG and u get points off.

no question

technically, it's not an integral if you don't put the dt.

my teacher never deducts, but he keep saying it's writing good mathematics, and like everyone else said, i would think they wouldn't give you a point for the integral.
