For a college program I’m applying to, I will need a Chemistry test score. However, I am currently taking AP Bio and will be taking the AP Chem next year. So, the AP test for Chem would be too late.
I am planning to take the SAT II Chemistry exam instead, though w/o prior chem knowledge (I took hnrs. chem sophomore year but literally forgot everything). How do I study for the subject test without knowing any chem – which study materials do you recommend? Thanks!
Bump. How would you recommend studying for this test? Would a tutor be beneficial in my case?
It’s not easy. I took a SAT Subject Chemistry about 7 months after finishing a high school honors Chemistry, and I also thought I forgot everything. To review I read the entire chemistry textbook from the class and that helped me to remember what I had forgotten. Then I did some practice tests. It was hard work, but there isn’t exactly a better way, considering you “literally forgot everything.” Good luck
Thanks! What did you receive on the exam?
