studying macro/micro with only prep book

<p>Is it possible to get a 5 on both macro and microeconomics with 5 Steps to a 5 and Princeton Review? I wanted to get Principles of Economics by Mankiw, but it's so expensive O___O;;</p>

<p>I haven't taken an economics class since it's only for seniors, so I'm hoping that the school will let me borrow a copy of its economics textbook. Even though I don't have any beforehand knowledge of economics, would it be alright to study AP Econ. through prep books alone?</p>

<p>An econ textbook helps. Though I have heard about people doing it with prep books alone. I personally went through the prep books, then went back and reviewed those concepts in the textbook.</p>
